Head of Energy and Heat Analysis 

Chris Dodds is Head of Energy and Heat Analysis at the Scottish Government, where he leads analytical work on Scotland’s energy system and heat in buildings. An economist by background, Chris heads a multi‑disciplinary team of analysts who provide evidence and analysis on oil and gas and energy‑transition economics; offshore and onshore wind and other renewable energy; energy economics and energy markets; energy statistics; and heat in buildings. Chris has spent three decades as an economist in central government, working across a wide range of policy areas.
