Sarah joins the consortium having worked at the University of Oxford as a Research Knowledge Exchange Manager for the Centre for Research into Energy Demand Solutions (CREDS), and as a researcher on RealValue, a Horizon 2020 project looking at the possibility of flexible thermal storage heating.
Prior to that she investigated the impact of EU Climate Change legislation on Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) at the University of Loughborough, and completed a PhD at the Centre for Research into Energy Systems Technology (CREST). Called ‘The Rhythm of Life is a Powerful Beat’ and funded by the Transition Pathways project (E.On and EPSRC), her thesis and subsequent work at Loughborough explored how flexible people’s energy practices could be and what impact such flexibility would have on their day-to-day lives.
Before working in academia, Sarah had several roles in NGOs, working on sustainability, indicators, local economic development, community engagement and democracy, and is passionate about women in STEM and rewilding.
She is also part of the Large language model retrieval augmented generation for energy demand consultations and beyond project.
