Mohamadreza Gholami is a PhD candidate at Cardiff University, focusing on cost-effective and technically feasible strategies for decarbonising heat in buildings. His research involves analysing and comparing the efficacy of various low-carbon heating and cooling technologies, including building-level heat pumps and district heating networks integrated with large centralised heat pumps.
Before pursuing his PhD, Mohamadreza spent over 13 years in the power generation sector, managing multidisciplinary projects in energy infrastructure, including power plants and solar energy systems.
