Marta Santini Headshot

Marta is a PhD student at the Centre for Energy Policy at the University of Strathclyde. Her PhD research focuses on understanding the barriers of adopting energy efficiency improvements in residential properties and the economy-wide implications of addressing them, and in her analysis she will be using quantitative methods such as the Computable General Equilibrium model to better understand the economic implications of different energy efficiency policies.

She has a strong interest in energy justice and social themes, and she strives to carry out her research by combining economic modelling with a more equitable approach.

She previously achieved a Master’s Degree in Sustainability and Energy Management at the Bocconi University in Milan, Italy, and between 2022 and 2024 she worked in the private energy industry sector.
