Jayne is an experienced interdisciplinary researcher whose work focuses on participatory decision-making, planning, and policy development in the fields of sustainability, energy, and climate change. Her work is underpinned by theories of environmental justice and deliberative democracy.
Building on extensive project management experience in the renewable energy sector, Jayne is leading Project Leapfrog, an exploration of how communities who’ve experienced a ‘leapfrog effect’ – were late to, or never connected to mains gas – will receive the transition to low carbon heating. The aim is to promote a fair transition to low carbon heating by preventing such communities from being left (even further) behind and to identify opportunities for them to “leapfrog” to the front of the LCH transition
