Ian is an experimental geoscience PhD student at the University of Edinburgh, where he has designed, built, and conducted novel laboratory simulations of CO2 storage reservoir environments. His research with EDRC concerns the impact of achieving Net Zero on the UK workforce. Before undertaking a PhD he worked in the energy industry, conducting maintenance on upstream infrastructure in the hydrocarbon and renewables sectors.
