Henry is a research fellow at the University of Edinburgh, where he recently completed his PhD thesis on transformative sustainability education. He has a background as a teacher and as a social scientist he has expertise in pedagogical and curricular approaches. With the EDRC he is part of the team working on The Low Carbon Heat Apprenticeships Challenge: Co-creating Solutions for Quicker, more Inclusive Workforce Development. He is contributing to the qualitative component of the project through his involvement in the collection, analysis, and communication of interview data obtained from apprentices enrolled in further education colleges. Henry is working alongside principal investigator Faye Wade in seeking to uncover what motivates people to partake in Low Carbon Heat Technician Apprenticeships (or not), from a sociological perspective.
