Imogen Rattle is an energy social scientist working at the Sustainability Research Institute, University of Leeds. She uses qualitative research methods to explore the politics and governance of the low carbon transition within local contexts. Her current research seeks to understand the policy developments, regulatory frameworks, and strategic planning required to successfully navigate the transition to a low carbon industrial future in the United Kingdom.

Prior to her role at the University of Leeds, Imogen previously worked as a project manager at the Department for Business, Energy, and Industrial Strategy and the Environment Agency.

She is PI on the MERIT (Mapping Engagement Routes for the Industrial Transition) Flexible Fund project.
