Dawn joined the team as the Senior Operations Officer at the Energy Demand Research Centre (EDRC), based at the University of Sussex, Brighton, having moved over from the School of Media, Arts and Humanities, where she was the Senior information and planning coordinator.
Bringing with her a diverse background that includes extensive experience in the private sector. With a decade working in the fashion industry, starting as a production assistant and quickly settling into buying. Following redundancy, she transitioned into Graphic Design, graduating with a BA in Design Communication from Brighton University. This lead to a career freelancing predominantly within the advertising and media sectors before moving into a brief stint teaching A-level Graphic Design, pre-covid, and subsequently returning to project management based roles in Higher Education.
