Aritra Chakrabarty is an energy and climate justice researcher with a passion for advancing equitable renewable energy transitions. He earned his PhD in Environmental and Energy Policy from Michigan Technological University. His work focused on how gender justice and distributive justice shaped community-based off grid energy system outcomes for rural communities in India. He specializes in case study methods, mixed methods approach, and quantitative analytical techniques. His research work focuses on identifying policy design strategies to improve equitable access to energy services.

Core expertise – energy policy analysis; gender and development in energy access; climate policy & international relations and community-based system solutions. Aritra thrives in collaborative, interdisciplinary environments where he can contribute to research, stakeholder engagement, and policy design to foster sustainable, equitable energy solutions.
