Overview

What does place-based retrofit look like in practice, and what can we learn from existing case studies?

This webinar introduces the National Retrofit Hub’s forthcoming publication, Place-Based Retrofit in Practice, developed in collaboration with the UK Green Building Council and the Energy Demand Research Centre, with support from The MCS Foundation.

The session will focus on exploring the guidance, and hearing from organisations who are taking a place-based approach. We will explore:

  • What a place-based approach is, and how it can enable local actors to achieve their goals and create impact
  • An overview of what the guidance includes
  • Key opportunities presented by the Warm Homes Plan, Pride in Place Strategy, and Local Power Plan for catalysing a place-based approach
  • How several case studies included within the guide are demonstrating what the approach can achieve

Speakers:

This webinar includes an opportunity to hear from several organisations included as case studies within the guide, and their experiences with taking a place-based approach:

  • Rachael Owens – Co-Director (National Retrofit Hub)
  • Talisa Denny – Project Coordinator (National Retrofit Hub)
  • More speakers to be announced!
