EDRC Datasets and Skills Fund

Main purpose:
Create a research programme that can adapt over time as required. This could include specific datasets, additional skills, or training needed.
Maximum amount of EDRC funding per project:
Flexible depending on type of data/skills required.
Start date:
This fund is now closed and will not be accepting further applications. To enable more targeted funding for specific research projects, funds from this pot will be reallocated to the Rapid Projects Fund.
Eligibility and who can apply:
EDRC existing team.
Requirements:
- Project requesting these funds will need to address a specific research question that the additional data or skills required will address.
- Projects will need to outline any free data sources that they have exhausted first and provide a short benefit/cost rationale for dataset funding.
- Applicants will also need to detail EDI considerations in research design, data management and justification of resources (see also Appendix 3 Application form details).
Outcomes:
Details of how funds have been used, quarterly progress, links to a specific EDRC Theme or Challenge, outputs, achieved impact.
